Top Favorite Books 2007

I achieved my personal goal of reading 200 books this year! (It might've been a few more than that, even.) So you can imagine the awful time I had trying to figure out my "top favorites". In the end I could've gone with one of two lists: a list in which I was very picky and only had the cream of the crop, or a slightly longer list with all my favorite reads on it. I decided to go with the latter. I even thought up some categories to place the titles under, for fun. Happy reading!

What a list! I'm impressed that you read 200 books (I thought a bit over 100 was doing good...:) There's a bunch that I haven't read; I'll have to put them on my TBR list.

Isn't A Great and Terrible Beauty just fantastic?

Great list!

I love your "head-over-heels after RE-reading" list, especially. I had that same experience with Peter S. Beagle's TAMSIN.

And now I'm off to track down VERDIGRIS DEEP, because that title and cover are just way too tempting.

Great lists!

I am reading Libba Bray's "Rebel Angels" right now and it is just as good as the first! :-D

I agree with you on every note--especially the best book of the year. I'm glad A Great and Terrible Beauty made the lists. When I read it I had reservations about it, but Rebel Angels (#2) is wonderful...so I was glad I stuck with the series.
