Newes from the Dead by Mary HooperHooper is good at historical fiction. And here's what Jackie says about this particular book: "It's based on a true story about at maid in 1650 England who was hanged, but didn't die. She wakes up paralized and in the dark..." Sweet!
The Willoughbys by Lois LowrySarah had me hooked when she described it as, "A snarky romp with the unmistakable flavor of Roald Dahl and a dash of Lemony Snicket." Eeeee!
Peeled by Joan BauerI like Bauer's writing, and this one's about a girl who wants to be a journalist, which makes it even cooler.

The Squad: Perfect Cover by Jennifer Lynn Barnes
Teen spy story = yay.

Princess Ben by Catherine Gilbert Murdock
Princess stories are such fun, and Sarah really liked it.

Out of the Wild by Sarah Beth Durst
Because I liked Into the Wild so much.
The Penderwicks on Gardam Street by Jeanne BirdsallBecause the first book was lovely and fun.
The Sky Inside by Clare B. DunkleBecause the author is very cool.
Books that are currently cover-less:
Trading Faces by Julia DeVillers and Jennifer Roy - twin author sisters wrote this. And I loved Jennifer Roy's first fiction book, Yellow Star.
Dandelion Fire by N. D. Wilson - sequel to 100 Cupboards.
Rapunzel's Revenge by Shannon and Dean Hale - A graphic novel by Shannon Hale and husband, plus it's a retold fairy tale. Bring it on.

Great variety - some of which I have my eye on too!
Ooh, new Lois Lowry? Awesome. Like that cover, too.

I always wanted a magic carpet. One of these days I'll have to read Into the Wild. I just know I'll like it.
I can't wait for a lot of these, either! And I had no idea Lois Lowry had a new book coming out.
*drools* Those look SO good!!
The Squad! *squee* I love Jennifer Lynn Barnes's books.
New from the Dead looks awesome, and Princess Ben looks great, and Out of the Wild should be awesome.
I'm excited for 2008 books. :D
Gosh, we read alike.
Willoughbys, yes.
Dandelion Fire, yes.
Penderwicks, yes ... Birdsall introduced me to Edward Eager for the first time. I therefore knock my forehead on the ground at her feet.
Peeled, yes ... I might be hearing Joan Bauer speak at a writer's conf. this spring! Yeah!
I think I have some new books to add to my list. Thanks!
I feel so influential!
It's almost like being a bookseller again. (sniff)
I have 6 of the 10 you list there on my list. And I might have to go add a few more to it now.... ;-)
Those look really good, I'll have to read Princess Ben.
Oooh...some of these just look so good :-)
All of these look incredibly good. 2008 promises to be a great book year!
Oh yay, I just saw our book, Trading Faces, on here! Jennifer and I are getting excited for our first twin-collaboration.
